The recognition was made during the parade of champions, a showing of all the dairy champions from the show, which wrapped up Friday at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
Shakira, whose full name is Erbacres Snapple Shakira-ET, was earlier named the Grand Champion Holstein. She has a history of victories at the World Dairy Expo and other competitions.
Shakira is owned by Ferme Jacobs, Ty-D Holsteins, Theraulaz, and Ferme Antelimarck of Quebec.

Visitors to the World Dairy Expo make their way past farm implements staged on the grounds of the Alliant Energy Center. The expo is expected to draw this week more than 50,000 people from nearly 90 countries.
