Dairy Crest’s £80million bid to sell all of its dairies and 3,000 milk floats to Bavaria’s Muller completed yesterday.
The deal will bring together Muller’s Wiseman Dairies and Dairy Crest’s dairy operations.
Muller now takes control of four dairies – Severnside, near Bristol, Chadwell Heath in East London, Foston in Derbyshire, and Hanworth in West London – as well as about 70 depots.
It also means that the daily pint is to be delivered by the Germans across much of the country.
