“ We are delighted to welcome Ron O’Brien to the Nui team. Since we launched in North America in July, we have been overwhelmed by the positive reaction our customers have given the platform. The appointment of Ron, with his experience and world-class expertise in the dairy trading industry, reflects the importance with which we are approaching this market.”

Kevin O’Sullivan, CEO of Nui Markets

Ron O’Brien joins the team, having spent the previous 20 years growing a formidable reputation in the Global dairy industry as a financial, trade and risk expert, most recently as Global Derivatives, Director and Vice President of Interfood Inc. Ron is no stranger to cultural shifts within exponential growth markets. He was instrumental in integrating CME-based risk management services into the day-to-day operations of America’s most progressive dairy farms. Subsequently, he has brought the same vision and determination to incorporate risk management services into the global physical trading culture of Europe and Asia in their respective exchanges (EEX and NZX/SGX).

On his appointment, Ron says he is energized by the prospect of shaping the future of the dairy trade in the US.

“This is a pivotal moment in the North American dairy industry. The sector is primed to expand, with strong conditions for production growth and increasing global demand for high-value dairy products. Increasing efficiency and price transparency of the dairy market through Nui’s platform will capitalize on these growth opportunities and serve as a win-win for buy side and sell side market participants.”
