A dairy farm in New York. Justice Department officials have been speaking with farmers about how a Dean Foods merger would affect milk pricing and competition.

Normally, hundreds of families would make the trek to the fair to show off their cows. Since that isn’t possible this year, over the next week, videos from the American Dairy Association North East will bring different aspects of dairy in New York to you.

Topics to be covered include everything from the famous butter sculpture, what dairy farm life looks like, how to use dairy in cooking and more.

Monday’s video highlighted how children across New York dairy farms take care of their cows and prep them for what would have been competition time at the fair.

You can see watch the videos on the A.D.A.N.E Facebook page here.

We have turned the page to a new year. While 2022 has begun, we are still dealing with many of the same challenges that have been with us longer than we care to remember.
