As we celebrate Nutrition Month this July, GoodRap is highlighting the various campaigns and initiatives created by brands to support the health and wellness of Filipinos.

In line with this, we feature Alaska, which launched its World Milk Day 2021 campaign – providing free glasses of milk and free workout tutorial videos.

Did you know that World Milk Day is observed annually on the first day of June? Established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2001, it is commemorated to recognize the importance of milk and other dairy products.

In the Philippines, milk brands and companies are at the forefront of the festivities. Among these is Alaska Milk Corporation. The milk brand’s month-long Alaga, Araw-AraWin! World Milk Day 2021 campaign was launched to reiterate the value of drinking milk at breakfast and exercising for at least an hour daily together with family.

To make the celebration more meaningful, they complemented this with the donation drive. They pledged to donate 60,000 glasses of milk to Filipinos in need for every exercise repetition done by participants. This is also in line with their advocacy of ending malnutrition and hunger in the Philippines by donating milk to Filipinos in need.

Participants joined the cause by filming themselves doing any workout routine for 15 seconds and then posting it on Facebook, Instagram, or Tiktok. The campaign began on May 25 and ended on June 30, 2021. At the end of the month-long campaign, they successfully raised 82,967 glasses of milk.

To help Filipinos with their daily workouts, Alaska also posted a series of short and easy workout tutorial videos on their official Facebook page. The videos include cardio, lower body, and core exercises, among others, and were led by various members and coaches of the Alaska Aces.

While World Milk Day 2021 is now over, you can still take care of your health with these exercises.

The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd has fixed a procurement target of 6.93 lakh litres of milk per day to the Tiruchi District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, popularly known as Tiruchi Aavin.
