Himachal Budget 2024 Sees Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu’s Bold Move with MSP Boost for Cow and Buffalo Milk!

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu declared an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for both cow and buffalo milk, with the goal of helping dairy producers. The MSP for cow milk increased to Rs 45 per litre under the new budget, while the MSP for buffalo milk increased to Rs 55 per liter.

Rajiv Gandhi Prakriyat Kheti Yojna

Another major announcement made during the budget presentation was the introduction of the Rajiv Gandhi Prakriyat Kheti Yojna. This scheme aims to promote natural farming techniques by providing training to 36,000 farmers, with 10 farmers from every panchayat being included in the program.

Initiatives for Agricultural Development

To further boost agricultural development in the state, CM Sukkhu announced the establishment of an artificial insemination training center in Solan’s Dadlaghat. This facility will provide essential training in artificial insemination techniques, contributing to the improvement of livestock management practices.

Additionally, the government has procured 44 mobile veterinary vans, equipped with veterinary doctors and pharmacists, to provide medical facilities for serious animal diseases. This initiative is expected to be fully operational by 2024, ensuring timely assistance to farmers and livestock owners.

Environmental Conservation Efforts

CM Sukkhu reiterated the state government’s commitment to environmental conservation by announcing the goal of making Himachal Pradesh a green state by 2026. As part of this initiative, the government will focus on promoting natural farming techniques and encouraging horticulture tourism.

The Himachal Pradesh state budget for the financial year 2024-25, presented by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu, reflects a strong emphasis on agricultural development, environmental conservation, and welfare measures for the people. With initiatives aimed at boosting dairy farming, promoting natural farming techniques, and providing essential support to farmers and livestock owners, the government aims to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity for the state.
