The facility located at 1188 Lincoln Street SW in Le Mars will start the transition to the dairy cooperative Kemps. The facility was previously operated by Dean Foods.
Kemps is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America. At the Le Mars plant, the current management team will continue to handle day to day operations and all employees will remain in their current positions.
There is no evidence that the milk poses a danger or that a live virus is present, the regulator has said.
